Skov Silk
My web pages are meant to be a gallery of my paintings. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say "my dyings" that are applied by brush on silk. The popular expression is "hand-painted silk."
For some time now my work has been for and about pleasure. My pleasure in the doing -- yours in the viewing, and maybe in the owning.
I paint wall hangings and silk to wear -- scarves, shawls, yardage. My wall pieces have been shown at the Blanden Memorial Art Museum, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and in small regional exhibitions. The scarves are in clothing boutiques, galleries, and art museum shops across the country.
I am often asked to design for the wall or for the individual (i.e. your tastes or your wardrobes missing links). I have particularly enjoyed creating memory pieces for specific occasions or to honor a loved one.
